Abreu Advogados featured in the latest Legal 500 ranking

Abreu Advogados has been highlighted by Legal 500, one of the main international directories, with more than 70 recognitions in 22 distinguished areas and almost 60 individual nominations.

The latest Legal 500 results have been published and Abreu Advogados has once again been recognised as one of the leading law firms in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique.

This year, Abreu and its partners in Angola and Mozambique (JLA Advogados and FBL Advogados, respectively) had a total of 77 recognitions in 22 distinguished areas and 58 individual nominations: 13 Leading Individuals, 10 Next Generation Partners, 1 lawyer in the Hall of Fame, 1 Rising Star lawyer and 52 Recommended Lawyers.

In terms of practice areas, the portuguese firm continues to be recognised as Tier 1 in Intellectual Property and Tax and the practice areas of Banking & Finance, Commercial, Corporate and M&A, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Energy & Natural Resources, Porto: Leading Commercial Firms, Projects and Transports remain in Tier 2, with Fraud and White-Collar Crime moving up to the same Tier this year.

Internationally, Abreu maintained its Tier 2 status in the Angola: Foreign Law Firms and Mozambique: Foreign Law Firms categories.

JLA Advogados was upgraded to Tier 2 in Mozambique: Local Law Firms and FBL Advogados maintained its Tier 2 in Angola: Local Law Firms.

In terms of individual recognitions, Ricardo Henriques was included as a Next Generation Partner in TMT, Alexandra Nascimento Correia rose to Leading Individual in Dispute Resolution and Isabel Pinheiro Torres was included as a Rising Star in Mozambique: Foreign Law Firms (Abreu).

Manuel Santos Vítor was also recognised as Leading Individual and Recommended Lawyer in five Legal 500 categories (Commercial, Corporate and M&A, Energy and Natural Resources, Projects, Angola: Foreign Law Firms and Mozambique: Foreign Law Firms).

In view of the 2023 results, Abreu Advogados also has 8 new Recommended Lawyers.
