Inês Sequeira Mendes participates in panel on competition and SMEs at the ICN Advocacy Workshop

Abreu Advogados’ Managing Partner, Inês Sequeira Mendes, is participating as a speaker at the ICN Advocacy Workshop, taking place on 16 and 17 March in Yerevan, Armenia, bringing together competition authorities, experts and professionals from different jurisdictions to discuss best practices in advocacy and the promotion of competitive markets.

On 17 March, Inês Sequeira Mendes will speak at the session “Strengthening SME Capacities of Competition Principles and Raising Awareness of Competition Policy Best Practices”, dedicated to strengthening the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to understand and apply competition principles.

The session will address the challenges SMEs face in navigating complex competition law issues and aims to identify effective strategies to promote awareness of competition rules and encourage business practices aligned with international best practices.

The ICN Advocacy Workshop is part of the programme of the International Competition Network (ICN) dedicated to developing advocacy tools and strategies, with the aim of strengthening the culture of competition among public decision-makers, regulators and market participants. The event includes plenary sessions and thematic workshops focusing on areas such as pro-competitive public policies, digital markets, sustainability and stakeholder engagement in regulatory processes.
