João Lupi

João Lupi is an associated partner and co-head of the Space and Satellites team. He has been with Abreu Advogados since 2022, working primarily in the Finance practice, advising on investment and financing transactions.

Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself for his work in providing strategic legal advice and support in the areas of Finance and Projects.

He has distinguished himself through his involvement in international projects, transactions, and financing in the space and satellite, defense and national security, and energy and natural resources sectors, regularly advising Investment Companies, Collective Investment Undertakings, and Management Entities, particularly in the venture capital sector.

He advises leading companies in their respective sectors, financial institutions, and public authorities on various types of transactions, markets, and products, interacting with the relevant regulatory authorities.

Certified in Space Law by the European Centre for Space Law and in ESG by the European Institute of Management and Finance, he also has experience in International Public Law within the scope of these matters.

He is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association and the Brazilian Bar Association and regularly participates as a guest speaker at conferences, seminars, and postgraduate courses, having also published several articles in the areas and sectors on which his practice focuses.

In 2025, he was named one of the 4under40 Future Leaders by Leaders League.
