Abreu Advogados secures 13 nominations at The Legal 500 Iberia Awards 2026
Abreu Advogados has been nominated in 13 categories at The Legal 500 Iberia Awards 2026, spanning both individual and firm-wide distinctions. This recognition reflects the quality of the work carried out by the firm’s teams and reinforces its position in the Iberian legal market.
Among the nominations, Carmo Sousa Machado’s inclusion in the Lawyer of the Year – Portugal category stands out as one of the most prestigious distinctions at these awards, recognising lawyers with an outstanding career and a significant impact on the Portuguese legal market.

The Legal 500 Iberia Awards recognise the law firms and legal professionals that have stood out most across Portugal and Spain, based on the independent research conducted by the international legal directory The Legal 500.
The awards are structured around three main levels of recognition: practice area and sector awards at Iberian level; jurisdiction-wide awards recognising firms and lawyers in Portugal and Spain; and broader Iberian categories, including Iberia Firm of the Year, Deal of the Year and Lawyer of the Year.
The Legal 500 Iberia Awards 2026 ceremony will take place on 26 November at the Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid.
