Ana Sofia Batista is a Partner whose practice focuses on Corporate and M&A in Portugal. She works primarily on business restructuring operations and acquisitions, as they relate to corporate structures, contracts and financing.
Her practice focuses particularly on matters related to acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs, liquidity inflows or share swaps, and specifically Corporate and M&A in Portugal, private equity transactions and project finance transactions.
She is co-coordinator of the Mozambique Desk, regularly advising on investment transactions in Mozambique and liaising with lawyers from Abreu’s international network in the country. She is also a member of the General Council of the Portugal-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce.
She has extensive experience advising on transactions in the healthcare, transport, food and financial industries, and on corporate housekeeping for national and multinational companies across different industries.
She has also lectured in areas connected with corporate and finance law in universities, professional organizations and seminars.
Ana Sofia is currently Secretary of the General Meeting of SEDES for the 2026–2028 term.
