Eduardo Peixoto Gomes is a Professional Partner and has been at Abreu Advogados since 2006, working primarily in private investment operations, commercial and real estate contracts, corporate restructuring, recovery and insolvency, including in the context of Special Revitalization Procedures.

He has extensive experience advising family owned businesses, including in the transmission from one generation to the next.

He also has relevant experience in the areas of shipping and international services, advising international banks and ship owners within the context of the Madeira International Business Center.

Advising a multinational company in the aeronautical industry on the acquisition and equity interest of another company in the same sector.

Advising a family owned group in its restructure to ensure next generation transfer.

Coordination of an acquisition operation of a portfolio of mortgages for an English bank.

Advising financial institutions, investment funds and companies on noteworthy insolvency and restructuring processes.

Advising Norwegian, French and Danish banks in the context of financing crafts and subsequent registration before  MAR – International Ship Registration of Madeira, creating liens and issuing legal opinions regarding operations and implications.

Advising ship-owners on the acquisition, sale and registration of crafts before MAR - International Ship Registration of Madeira, including the registration of liens.

Advising on the acquisition of a super yacht which was registered in Malta, registering it before MAR - International Ship Registration of Madeira and then selling it.

Advising on the acquisition of a super yacht which was registered in Jamaica and transferred the registration to Panama.
