Abreu Advogados is once again highlighted in the American Best Lawyers directory
The 12th edition of Best Lawyers in Portugal announced today its results and once again Abreu Advogados stands out. The Firm received 106 awards attributed to 58 Lawyers, in 32 practice areas, and the Lawyer of the Year award in Intellectual Property Law was granted to the Partner César Bessa Monteiro, Jr.
Abreu Advogados is already one of the most mentioned law firms, with an increasing number of lawyers among the leading names in the Portuguese legal practice. In the most recent edition, now published, nine lawyers make up the well-known list for the first time: Alexandra Nascimento Correia, in International Arbitration, André Modesto Pinheiro, in Asset Finance Law, Armando Martins Ferreira and Elsa Sá Carneiro and Susana A. Duarte, in Litigation, Luis Fábrica, in Land Use and Zoning Law, Ricardo Branco, in Public Law, and Maria Inês Assis and Sara Soares, in Tax Law.
The 2021 edition also presents other novelties and mentions, with some of its lawyers already mentioned in previous editions and who have now had their recognition extended to new areas: Nuno Cunha Barnabé, recognised in Tax Law, and now also in Family Business Law; and Maria Santa Martha, already distinguished in M&A, and now also in Corporate Law.
The prestigious American directory annually recognizes the best lawyers in their practice areas in each jurisdiction, basing its research process solely on peer review.
