Jobchain secures Virtual-Asset Services Provider License from the Bank of Portugal
Abreu Advogados assisted Jobchain in getting the authorization to operate as a Virtual-Asset Services Provider in Portugal.
The Abreu Advogados team was led by the partners Alexandra Courela, co-coordinator of the Tax team, and Diogo Pereira Duarte, co-coordinator of the Banking and Finance team and FinTech practice. Isabel Pinheiro Torres, associated partner, and the trainee lawyers Mafalda Santos Cordeiro and Alexandra Rebordão de Sousa also formed part of the team.
Jobchain, a pioneer recruitment platform utilizing blockchain technology, facilitates connections between job seekers and employers while offering the option of receiving salary payments in cryptocurrencies. Established in 2019, Jobchain has received multiple international awards and recognitions.
With this license, Jobchain is now authorized to offer services including virtual asset transfers, exchanges between virtual assets and fiat currencies or between one or more virtual assets and safekeeping and administration services for virtual assets.
