Marta de Oliveira Pinto Trindade lectures on Labour Law and Metaverse

Marta Trindade, partner at Abreu Advogados, recently lectured on Labour Law and the Metaverse at Nova School of Law’s E-Course The Law of the Metaverse.

The class addressed the lack of specific legislation for the Metaverse with regards to labour law. Faced with this legal gap, Marta emphasised the importance of using the existing legal framework and its fundamental principles to deal with the issues that arise in this context.

The lawyer shares some ideas about the application of labour concepts and principles already existing to the specific implications of the Metaverse and  its impact in the labour world with an emphasis on the new Metaverse generated situations and ‘realities’ (such as NPCs, cryptocurrencies or avatars).
