Leaders League: Abreu Advogados Firm of the Year in Energy, Employment and Real Estate
Abreu Advogados was one of the most prominent firms and one of the big winners of the Iberian Legal Summit & Awards ceremony held yesterday in Madrid and promoted by Leaders League, a renowned directory and ranking of the international legal profession.
The firm headed by Inês Sequeira Mendes won first place in three of the 12 categories in competition: Energy and Infrastructures, Employment and Real Estate, having been recognised as the best national firm of 2021/2022, in these practice areas, alongside global giants Allen & Overy, awarded in Spain in Energy and Infrastructure and Employment and DLA Piper Spain recognised in Real Estate.
These awards distinguish the law firms that stood out the most in Portugal and Spain in 12 different categories. Abreu Advogados was a finalist in eight categories: Energy and Infrastructure, Employment , Real Estate, M&A, Tax, Intellectual Property, Information Technology and Litigation.
The ceremony, held yesterday in Madrid, was attended by Duarte de Athayde, Chairman and Partner of Abreu Advogados, partners César Bessa Monteiro, jr, José Maria Corrêa de Sampaio and Marta Romano de Castro and the professional partner José Carlos Vasconcelos.
The Leaders League has a prestigious position in the international rankings of lawyers, being already a reference for multinational companies, worldwide law firms, marketing and human resources teams.
