Manuel Andrade Neves writes about the challenges of renewable energy abundance
Manuel Andrade Neves has authored the opinion article “The Paradox of Overabundance”, published in the July/August print edition of Advocatus, in which he analyses the regulatory challenges associated with the growth of renewable energy production in Portugal.
The article highlights the need to establish clearer rules for energy storage, grid access tariffs and the integration of large energy consumers. As Manuel Andrade Neves notes, “Portugal has renewable energy in abundance. What it still lacks is a system capable of creating value from it.”
