Observador | Pro Bono | Undivided estates: the deadlock in Portuguese real estate
“If there is agreement among the heirs, the process does in fact become much simpler,” says Sónia Pascoal on the subject of undivided estates.
In the latest episode of “Pro Bono”, an initiative by Rádio Observador and Abreu Advogados, the lawyer explains how estates that have not yet been divided can block properties for years, creating deadlock situations among heirs and preventing houses, land and other real estate assets from being sold, leased, rehabilitated or put to use in the economy.
Every Wednesday at 3:15 p.m., on the “Pro Bono” programme, Abreu Advogados and Rádio Observador help companies make decisions, understand the most complex aspects of the law and clarify some of the key current issues.
