In light of recent developments in the legal framework, the lawyer emphasises that legislative changes have increasingly introduced a stronger focus on transparency, accessibility and sustainability within the real estate market. However, he warns that the principal challenge no longer lies in the creation of new laws, but rather in their practical implementation.
“The issue is no longer so much the legislation itself, but above all its practical application”, says Diogo Belard Correia, highlighting the importance of ensuring effective conditions for the implementation of approved measures.
He also underlines that the real estate market continues to rest on solid fundamentals, pointing to sustained development, albeit with adjustments. He notes the growing focus among investors on structural segments with consistent demand, rather than more opportunistic strategies.
