Abreu Advogados and Zara Jamal shortlisted for the African Legal Awards 2026

Abreu Advogados and lawyer Zara Jamal have been shortlisted for the African Legal Awards 2026, organised by Law.com International.

Abreu Advogados is shortlisted in the African Network / Alliance of the Year category, recognising the work carried out by the firm and its international network across the African continent.

At an individual level, Zara Jamal, a partner at Abreu and JLA Advogados – Abreu’s partner firm in Mozambique – is shortlisted in the Women Leaders in Law – Private Practice category, which recognises women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and impact in private practice.

These nominations reflect the quality of the work delivered by the teams and their ongoing commitment to strengthening an integrated and international presence in Africa.

The winners will be announced at the official African Legal Awards 2026 ceremony, taking place on 4 September at The Wanderers Club in Johannesburg, South Africa.
