Ricardo Henriques comments on adequacy of sending personal data to the US
Ricardo Henriques, partner at Abreu Advogados, commented in Jornal de Negócios, on the European Commission’s adequacy decision that will allow the transfer of personal data of EU citizens to companies in the United States of America (USA).
In the interview, the lawyer states that this decision “is not entirely happy to fully safeguard citizens’ rights, insofar as it continues to allow the bulk collection of personal data in certain cases, without the need for prior authorization for this purpose”.
