Luís Barreto Xavier will be a keynote speaker at the 3rd International Seminar on Artificial Intelligence and Law, organised by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). The event will take place from 16 to 18 April, and the Abreu Advogados of counsel will deliver his address at the opening session on 16 April at 9.00 am local time.
The event will bring together experts, students and professionals to discuss the intersections between Artificial Intelligence, Law and Ethics in a context of rapid technological transformation.
Over the course of three days, the seminar will host round tables and working groups dedicated to topics such as AI and digital platforms, public security, copyright, economic regulation and the impact on the judicial system.
The initiative aims to foster a multidisciplinary and in-depth reflection on the role of Artificial Intelligence in Law, encouraging dialogue between different fields and contributing to the development of more effective legal solutions to emerging challenges.
