Ana Rita Duarte de Campos to speak at the 43rd International Symposium on Economic Crime in Cambridge
Ana Rita Duarte de Campos will be a speaker at the Forty-Third International Symposium on Economic Crime, taking place from 23 to 30 August at Jesus College, University of Cambridge, in the United Kingdom.
Considered one of the leading international events dedicated to economic criminal law, the symposium brings together experts from more than 100 countries. This year’s edition focuses on the theme “Asset Recovery and the Rule of Law – Taking the profit out of crime – rhetoric to results”, with particular emphasis on asset recovery and the effectiveness of mechanisms to combat economic crime.
On 27 August, the Abreu Advogados criminal law specialist will take part in the session “Property during constraint and pending final determination – the issues”, which will address the legal challenges associated with assets subject to restrictive measures while awaiting a final determination.
