Chambers Global 2023 once again highlights Abreu Advogados
The new Chambers Global 2023 rankings were announced and Abreu Advogados, as well as its local partners, reinforced its prominent position.
Abreu Advogados is recognized for the second consecutive year in the International & Cross-Border Capabilities category, which distinguishes the law firms in Portugal that are best positioned to provide legal advice in cross-border cases. The firm was also distinguished in the areas of Corporate and M&A, Banking and Finance and Dispute Resolution.
In individual awards, Pedro Ferreira Malaquias and Rodrigo Formigal maintained their positions in Band 1 and as Up and Coming, respectively, in Banking & Finance. Partner Manuel Santos Vítor keeps his Band 3 position in Corporate/M&A and Of Counsel Teresa Anselmo Vaz is once again recognized in Band 2 in Dispute Resolution.
In the Mozambique market, Abreu Advogados was recognised as Band 3 in the category of International Firms and is recognised as a Corporate/M&A Foreign Expert. At a local level, JLA Advogados, our partner law firm in Mozambique, and Zara Jamal maintained its position in Band 3.
In Angola market, Abreu Advogados team is in Band 2 and individual partner Fernando Veiga Gomes is in Band 4. The firm and partner Marta Romano de Castro are also highlighted as Corporate/M&A Foreign Expert. At a local level, FBL Advogados, our partner law firm in Angola, maintained its position in Band 1.
Finally, in the Timor-Leste market, Abreu e C&C Advogados, a joint venture of Abreu Advogados, was recognized as Band 2, with Local Partner Elisa Pereira, a leader among her peers in this jurisdiction recognized as Band 1.
