Abreu Advogados once again featured in Chambers Global Guide 2024
Abreu Advogados, as well as its partners in Portuguese-speaking countries, has once again been highlighted in the Chambers and Partners directory published today with the new 2024 ranking, which recognises 11 lawyers and five categories.
Abreu Advogados is recognised for the third consecutive year in the International & Cross-Border Capabilities category, which distinguishes the firms in Portugal best positioned to provide legal advice on cross-border cases. The firm was also recognised in five other categories: “Banking and Finance”, “Corporate / M&A”, “Dispute Resolution: The Elite” and “General Business Law International Firms” (Angola and Mozambique).
In the individual distinctions, Pedro Ferreira Malaquias and Rodrigo Formigal are recognised as Band 1 and Up and Coming, respectively, in Banking & Finance. Manuel Santos Vítor is recognised as Band 3 in Corporate/M&A, Teresa Anselmo Vaz is Band 3 and Alexandra Nascimento Correia Band 5 in Dispute Resolution.
In the Mozambican market, Abreu Advogados was recognized as Band 3 in the International Firms category and distinguished as Corporate/M&A Foreign Expert. Locally, JLA Advogados, our partner law firm in Mozambique, was recognized as Band 3 and Zara Jamal as Band 2.
In Angola, in the International Firms category, the Abreu Advogados team is honoured as Band 2 and, as an individual, Manuela Cunha is listed as Senior Statespeople. Abreu and Marta Romano de Castro are also highlighted as Corporate/M&A Foreign Expert. On a local level, FBL Advogados, a partner law firm in Angola, is recognized as Band 1, with Fernando Faria de Bastos and Paulette Lopes as Senior Statespeople.
Finally, in the Timor-Leste market, Abreu e C&C Advogados, a joint venture of Abreu Advogados, has been recognized as Band 2, with Local Partner Elisa Pereira leading the way among her peers in this jurisdiction as Band 1.
