Hugo Teixeira assumes presidency of the M&A Commission of AIJA
Hugo Teixeira, partner at Abreu Advogados and member of the Organising Committee of the AIJA – International Young Lawyer’s Congress – was appointed president of the M&A Committee of the congress, together with Milena Charnitzky, a partner at Germany’s Rittershaus.
During the congress, Hugo Teixeira also moderated a panel on “The Four Dimensions of Digital Assets and Blockchain in M&A”, which explored this emerging trend in the sector, based on the increased demand for crypto-assets.
The congress was attended by more than 500 lawyers from around the world, focussed on the theme “Re-thinking the law in four dimensions – a think-tank to predict challenges that clients will face and identify legal solutions to meet them”.
The AIJA is the world’s only association dedicated to lawyers and consultants aged 45 and under, providing international networking and development opportunities for all young lawyers. AIJA currently has 4,000 members and supporters in more than 100 different countries, including more than 60 collective members and Bar Associations.
