Abreu Advogados assists Catana Group in the acquisition of a majority stake in Composite Solutions
Abreu Advogados advised Catana Group, a French group dedicated to the manufacture and sale of recreational craft, in the acquisition of a majority stake in Composite Solutions, a company with a vast know-how in the field of composites, which designs and produces customised nautical equipment.
The operation integrated an investment of €3.6 million, with the French group taking control of 90% of Composite Solutions. This amount corresponds to the investment of €2 million by the Catana Group, through its subsidiary Chantier Catana, for a 50.01% stake in this Portuguese company which is valued at €4 million, and also the investment by the family group Financière Poncin, a shareholder of the Catana Group, of €1.6 million for a 39.99% stake, through its subsidiary AP Yacht Conception. The founding partners of the company retain a 10% stake.
This investment represents a first step in the construction of the Catana Group’s new motor boat division in Portugal, which will also include the construction of a new factory.
