Abreu Advogados advises BMcar in the acquisition of BMW Madrid
Abreu Advogados advised the Portuguese company BMcar in the acquisition, in joint venture with the French group BYmyCAR, of BMW Madrid – BMW Group’s branch in the Spanish capital and the largest dealership contract of the German brand in the Iberian Peninsula.
The Spanish group covers the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad brands and, last year, made almost 7.000 sales, with a turnover of over €200 million.
The Abreu Advogados advising on this transaction was coordinated by Maria de Deus Botelho, professional partner at Abreu Advogados, with the participation of Cláudia Isabel Costa, associate lawyer at Abreu Advogados.
BMcar had a turnover of €172 million in 2021, 23% more than in the same period of the previous year and sold over 3,500 vehicles, with over €21 million accounted for in the after sales area. For the three-year period 2022-2024, the group wants to exceed a turnover of €570 million.
