Abreu Advogados advises ABNSouza on creating a joint venture with Vanguard to operate Corcoran franchising in Portugal
Abreu Advogados has advised ABNSouza on the creation of a joint venture with Vanguard to launch the first affiliate of The Corcoran Group, a US luxury real estate brokerage, in Portugal.
The new company, named Everstone, has been established to meet the strong growth of the premium and luxury residential market in Portugal, particularly in supporting the increasing demand from North American buyers in the country.
Abreu Advogados’ advisory work involved overseeing the entire company formation process, including the drafting, negotiation and execution of the articles of association and the shareholders’ agreement, as well as other contracts and documents, in collaboration with another law firm throughout the process, including notification to the Competition Authority.
The Abreu Advogados team advising ABNSouza was led by partners Manuel Santos Vitor and Cláudia Santos Malaquias, specialists in corporate, commercial and M&A practices, and also received support from partner Armando Martins Ferreira on competition matters.
With this partnership, the group strengthens its presence in the luxury segment, benefiting from its extensive experience in managing real estate networks and its strong relationship with the Anywhere Group.
