Filipa Calheiros Ferraz to speak at the 13th European Environmental Law Forum Conference
Filipa Calheiros Ferraz will take part as a speaker in the 13th annual conference of the European Environmental Law Forum (EELF), taking place from 26 to 28 August at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. The Abreu Advogados associate will speak on 27 August, between 10.30 am and 12.00 pm.
Organised by the University of Copenhagen’s Centre for Climate Change Law and Governance (CLIMA), this year’s edition is dedicated to the theme “Climate Change Mitigation and EU Law: Towards a Just and Competitive Sustainable Transition”. The conference will examine the role of European Union law in climate change mitigation and in building a sustainable, fair and competitive transition, against a backdrop of geopolitical instability, increasing global competition, rapid technological developments and growing demands for social justice.
The conference brings together academics, researchers and practitioners in environmental law and climate governance to discuss the main legal challenges associated with the transition to climate neutrality.
