Filipa Calheiros Ferraz to speak at the 1st National Conference on Environmental Justice
Filipa Calheiros Ferraz will be a speaker at the 1st National Conference on Environmental Justice, organised by the Universidade de Aveiro. The conference will bring together stakeholders from various sectors to discuss challenges and solutions in the field of environmental justice in Portugal, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue, the development of public policy and citizen participation in the protection of socio-environmental rights.
The intervention by the Associate Lawyer at Abreu Advogados, whose practice focuses primarily on Public & Environment Law, will address the topic “Current Challenges and Future Perspectives in Climate Justice”.
The conference is aimed at researchers, public sector managers, policymakers, representatives of civil society, students, young activists and private sector organisations committed to sustainable practices. The agenda includes topics such as socio-environmental inequalities, environmental policy and legislation, climate change adaptation, environmental democracy and pathways towards a fairer and more balanced ecological transition, providing a forum to reflect on and advance solutions that promote more sustainable and inclusive development.
