Tiago Corrêa do Amaral participates in the AEEC Summer Camp on digital transformation and AI

Tiago Corrêa do Amaral, Partner at Abreu Advogados, will take part in the AEEC Summer Camp on 8 September, in Meisenheim, Germany.

The lawyer will join a 90-minute panel dedicated to digital transformation and the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the legal sector, moderated by Janine Hagen, Digital & AI Officer at Becker Büttner Held. The session will address, among other topics, law firms’ digital transformation strategies, practical AI use cases, governance and risk management, as well as successful and unsuccessful experiences in the implementation of these technologies.

During his intervention, Tiago Corrêa do Amaral will present Abreu Advogados’ approach to digital transformation, which is regarded as a strategic priority. The strategy involves the increasingly embedded use of AI across the firm’s operations, with technology resources working ever more closely with the different practice areas, alongside a gradual move towards models based on more integrated AI agents within legal workflows.

From a governance perspective, the session will also highlight Abreu’s “trust but verify” approach, under which all work produced with the support of Artificial Intelligence is reviewed by a lawyer before it reaches the client.

Abreu’s experience to date has also shown that the successful adoption of these technologies depends not only on the solutions themselves, but above all on effective change management within the organisation, by engaging teams and integrating new tools and ways of working into legal practice.
