Private equity, competitiveness and regulation discussed at Abreu Advogados

Ana Sofia Batista, Partner at Abreu Advogados, hosted a meeting at our headquarters this week with the Director of Public Affairs at Invest Europe, Martin Bresson, the President of the Portuguese Venture Capital Association (APCRI), Luís Santos Carvalho, as well as representatives of some companies to discuss “private equity” and “EU Regulation & Policy Wise”. The meeting was also attended by partners José Maria Corrêa de Sampaio, Alexandra Courela, Marta Romano de Castro and professional partner Rita Albuquerque.

The debate centred on issues of European competitiveness in the face of trading blocs such as China and the United States, as well as analysing the evolution of the regulatory framework at European and national level and in terms of ESG.

Jornal Económico followed the exchange of views and knowledge and, at the end, interviewed Ana Sofia Batista, Martin Bresson and Luís Santos Carvalho.
