Inês Sequeira Mendes anticipates a positive second half with opportunities in strategic sectors
In a context of significant changes in the geopolitical landscape and challenging economic activity, Inês Sequeira Mendes takes a positive view of the legal profession. In an interview with Jornal de Negócios, the Managing Partner of Abreu Advogados stated that the first half of the year met expectations and added that the outlook for the second half is also “positive”.
Despite a slowdown in more transactional areas, Inês Sequeira Mendes highlighted “a growing need for support in other areas, driven by the ongoing digital transformation and increasing regulatory complexity”.
“We will be closely monitoring the potential privatisations,” as well as investment in infrastructure, including high-speed rail, the new airport, and “the ambitious National Railway Plan, which will be key in the coming decade,” she noted.
