Abreu Advogados releases practical guide focused on data protection
It is now available a new Legal Literacy Manual by Abreu Advogados, dedicated to ‘Digital Inclusion: My data and me – Rights of the holder of personal data and how to exercise them’. This guide focuses on data protection legislation and what personal data subjects can do with the data that third parties hold about them.
Developed by José Maria Alves Pereira, a senior associate at Abreu Advogados, and Leonor de Sá e Frade, a trainee lawyer, with the coordination and revision of partner Ricardo Henriques, the document answers questions such as ‘What are my rights in relation to my data?’, ‘Do I have any rights over third parties’ personal data?’ or “How can I enforce my rights?”.
This publication is part of Abreu Advogados’ Legal Up, the firm’s biennial sustainability programme, around which internal and external initiatives are developed to raise awareness and promote public debate on structural causes for the sustainable development of society.
For the 2023/2024 biennium, the theme chosen is ‘Digital Inclusion’, with an agenda that includes various initiatives to combat inequalities and promote digital access and digital literacy in various social strata and age groups.
