Luís Barreto Xavier argues that AI could be the key to modernising the state

Luís Barreto Xavier, president of the Abreu Advogados Knowledge Institute, states that ‘artificial intelligence can be an accelerator of change and contribute decisively to eliminating constraints and delays and bringing the State and administration into the 21st century,’ reflecting the vision of a legal profession and public administration increasingly aligned with the digital age.

Luís Barreto Xavier and Helder Galvão, consultant at Abreu Advogados, spoke to Jornal Económico about the impact of innovation on public administration and law, in connection with the 7th edition of Lisbon Law & Tech, promoted by the Abreu Advogados Knowledge Institute, which will take place on 4 November in the Abreu Advogados auditorium, and on 6 November, online.
