Abreu Advogados on the M&A transactions podium in 2022
The law firm closed the first quarter of the year in second place in terms of the value of M&A transactions and has two partners in 2nd and 5th in the top legal advisors.
Abreu Advogados is in second place in the Transactional Track Record (TTR) ranking for M&A Legal Advisory for the first quarter of 2022, with a total value of transactions of 232.76 million euros. According to the report of the technology platform, which aggregates transactional data on a global scale, the transactions executed in the 1st quarter of 2022 place the law firm in the 2nd place of Legal Advisors.
Regarding to M&A dealmakers, partners Marta Romano de Castro and Manuel Santos Vítor make up the Top 5 M&A dealmakers for this quarter of the year, in 2nd and 5th position respectively.
Abreu Advogados is also ranked in 5th position in the Private Equity and Venture Capital ranking, with Diogo Pereira Duarte, professional partner at Abreu Advogados, in 6th place among dealmakers.
According to the TTR report, more than 60 transactions involving Portuguese companies were registered in the first quarter of this year, which represents a 14% decrease in the volume of transactions when compared to the same period of 2021.
