Luís Barreto Xavier writes opinion article about Generative AI for Jornal Económico

Luís Barreto Xavier, of counsel at Abreu Advogados and president of the Knowledge Institute, is the author of an opinion article on Artificial Intelligence, published in the Jornal Económico, in which he comments on a downward phase of Generative AI.

Some of the ideas highlighted refer to the AI Regulation (AI Act), the application of which by companies is often considered an obstacle to innovation in Europe, and to results that are not proportional to ‘the huge investment’.

Luís Barreto Xavier concludes, however, that ‘the possible fall of generative AI will certainly take it to a “plateau of productivity” in some time, provided that it is articulated with other technologies and well orientated according to results’.
