Luís Barreto Xavier speaks on “The Trend Towards Overregulation” at the 7th Anniversary of the GDPR

Luís Barreto Xavier, of counsel at Abreu Advogados and president of the Knowledge Institute, will be a speaker on the panel “The Trend Towards Overregulation” on 2 June at the Money Museum, marking the 7th Anniversary of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Organised by the Bank of Portugal and the Portuguese Banking Association, the event focuses on the theme “Information Governance – the Special Case of Data Protection”, in a context where the increasing complexity of European and national regulations is forcing organisations to rethink information governance and data protection, promoting integrated risk management and regulatory compliance.
