Gonçalo Malheiro discusses energy sector disputes in São Paulo
Gonçalo Malheiro will be a speaker at São Paulo Arbitration Week (SPAW), an initiative organised by the Centre for Arbitration and Mediation of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CAM-CCBC), taking place from 19 to 23 October.
On 22 October, the lawyer will speak on the second panel of the XIII Luso-Brazilian Arbitration Conference, dedicated to “Energy Sector Disputes: Contractual Breach, Force Majeure and Price Review. Trends and Perspectives”. The session will explore contractual challenges and trends in dispute resolution within the energy sector.
The event brings together initiatives organised by law firms, universities, associations and institutions, aiming to foster discussion on arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. The programme addresses current issues in arbitration, providing opportunities for Brazilian and international professionals to share experiences and insights.
The initiative reflects São Paulo’s growing importance as a centre for international arbitration and promotes connections between professionals from different jurisdictions, against a backdrop of strengthening international cooperation.
