Hugo Teixeira, partner, and Diogo Pessanha, professional partner at Abreu Advogados, discuss Decree-Law no. 114-D/2023, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/2121 on domestic and cross-border transformations, mergers and divisions into Portuguese law. This Decree-Law, which came into force on 5 January 2024, amended several pieces of legislation, including the Commercial Companies Code and the Commercial Registry Code.
