Abreu Advogados advises Testo on the implementation of its first factory in Portugal
Abreu Advogados advised the German group Testo, a world leader in portable and stationary measuring solutions, on the construction of its first factory in Portugal, in the industrial area of Albergaria-a-Velha. This operation involves an investment of 25 million euros in industrial facilities, in an industrial development that will cover an area of 21,000 square metres and will contribute to the creation of around 500 jobs in the region.
Abreu Advogados advised Grupo Testo on the various issues related to setting up the plant in Portugal, including, but not limited to, drafting and negotiating a Construction Contract with the respective Contractor, drafting and negotiating the Coordination and Supervision Contract with the Site Supervisor, as well as providing legal assistance throughout the development of the project and other corporate issues related to the local subsidiary.
The project is not only complex from a legal and contractual point of view, but also of great importance for the Client’s global operations, as well as for the host country and region, due to its size, technological nature and economic implications.
