Rui Cardinal Carvalho is a senior associate at Abreu Advogados, working primarily in corporate and M&A matters.

Advised on the restructuring of family-owned businesses for succession planning purposes, including the implementation of corporate governance frameworks and family governance protocols;

Advised several multinational companies in the retail sector, including the footwear, photography and medical imaging industries, on the implementation of their expansion strategies, including cross-border mergers, business transfers, sale-and-leaseback transactions and other corporate reorganisations;

Advised foreign investor groups on corporate real estate transactions;

Advised companies in the food industry on international procurement, supply and distribution agreements;

Advised and represented companies in the fuel retail and lubricants sector in civil and corporate litigation;
