Diogo Orvalho anticipates possible Government backtracking on three key points of the labour law reform
Diogo Orvalho believes that the Government may drop three fundamental issues as part of a “way out of this labour law reform”: extending fixed-term contracts from two to three years; ending the obligation to carry out evidentiary steps in disciplinary proceedings; and opposing reinstatement whenever a dismissal is deemed unlawful.
The partner at Abreu Advogados was one of the guests on SIC Notícias’ Expresso da Meia-Noite programme, where he emphasised that this draft bill includes several very positive measures, particularly those related to the individual working time bank, a solution he considers “highly efficient and essential” for employment growth.
