Maria Inês Assis, Associated Partner in the Tax practice of Abreu Advogados was awarded Rising Star Portugal in the Europe Rising Stars Awards 2020. The event is organised by the Euromoney Legal Media Group and selects lawyers under the age of 40 that have stood out in the group’s directories – IFLR1000, Expert Guides, Bench mark Litigation, World Tax and IP Stars, with the evaluation based upon information from colleagues and clients.

Over the course of her career, Maria Inês Assis has focused on advising on international taxation and provided tax law advice on corporate restructurings, private asset management, individual and international taxation, succession planning and family governance.
The delivery of the Europe Rising Stars Awards happened on the 18th February and for the first time in an online ceremony.
