Ana Sofia Batista signs article “Diversity and Equality in SMEs: From Legal Requirement to Competitive Advantage”

Ana Sofia Batista, partner at Abreu Advogados, is the author of an article published by PME Magazine, in which she highlights the challenges SMEs face regarding gender equality, and the role of PWN Lisbon as a strategic partner.

By investing in mentoring, training, and support, SMEs position themselves as organizations better prepared to face the challenges of an increasingly diverse market: “Seeing other women succeed is a powerful incentive to overcome obstacles and achieve success,” she affirms.

The partner at Abreu Advogados explains that although legislation on diversity and gender equality is more stringent for large companies, SMEs are also facing increasing responsibilities in this area and are seeking legal support “to ensure compliance with legal obligations and avoid sanctions, which may also harm the company’s reputation.”
