Abreu Advogados’ Tax is “Team of the Year” by Forty under 40 Awards

Abreu Advogados’ renowned Tax team is the best among law teams in the Iberian Peninsula.

The firm’s Tax team was distinguished as “Team of the Year” in the Tax category, reflecting the high level of young talent of this internationally recognized team.

Abreu Advogados was tonight awarded in an initiative of the legal information magazine in Portugal, Spain and Latin America, Iberian Lawyer, which selects the most outstanding lawyers under forty years old in their area of specialization on the Iberian Peninsula.

At the ceremony, Isabel Pinheiro Torres, Senior Associate at Abreu Advogados, was also recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” at the Forty under 40 Iberian Lawyer Awards, in the Fintech category.

From the list of finalists, the highlight goes to Abreu Advogados lawyers, with a total of 11 nominations: André Modesto Pinheiro (Banking & Finance Lawyer); Cláudia Santos Malaquias (M&A Lawyer); Madalena Bernardes Coelho (Public Lawyer); Maria Cabral de Azevedo (Real Estate Lawyer and Insurance Lawyer); Maria Inês Assis (Tax Lawyer); Paulo Amaral Basílio (Insolvency & Restructuring Lawyer and Litigation Lawyer); Susana Duarte (Tax Lawyer) and Tiago Leote Cravo (Public Lawyer). Highlight also to the 9 team appointments, with the following areas: Banking & Finance, Energy, EU&Competition, Fintech, Litigation, M&A, Public Law and Real Estate.

The legal innovation and excellence of Abreu Advogados’ performance were recognized in these important awards, which in 2020 awarded Renata Silva Alves, Abreu Advogados’ Associated Partner, in the Real Estate category.
