Sofia Rijo highlights the opportunities that may arise from the agreement with Mercosur

Sofia Rijo has authored an article in the Brazilian magazine of the Institute for Research in Customs Law, in the “Women in Customs” column, dedicated to the new free trade agreement between the European Union and Mercosur.

In the article, the lawyer analyses the impact of this agreement on trade relations between the two blocs, highlighting the opportunities that may arise from the reduction of tariff barriers and the facilitation of international trade in goods.

Sofia Rijo also underlines the importance of companies preparing for the challenges associated with the practical application of the agreement, particularly in relation to rules of origin, tariff classification, customs value, compliance and customs planning.
