José Rijo to speak at the XII CARF Seminar on Tax and Customs Law
José Rijo, Of Counsel at Abreu Advogados, will take part as a speaker at the seminar organised by the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF), taking place on 15 September, at the Centro Empresarial CNC in Brasília.
The 12th edition will focus on current issues in tax administrative litigation and includes lectures, panels and conferences on topics related to the federal tax administrative process, Tax Law and Customs Law.
José Rijo will join the panel “Customs Impacts of the EU-Mercosur Free Trade Agreement”, at 3:15 pm, to reflect on the implications of this agreement for trade and customs relations between the two blocs.
José Rijo’s participation as a speaker reinforces the importance of sharing knowledge and experience in Tax and Customs Law, in a context marked by the evolution of international trade relations and the challenges associated with the harmonisation and application of customs rules.
