Abreu Advogados wins Inclusion & Diversity Initiative of the Year award
Abreu Advogados won the “Inclusion & Diversity Initiative of the Year” award at the Multilaw Awards 2023, presented by the renowned organization Multilaw, a global association of independent law firms. This accolade reflects the various innovative initiatives to promote diversity and equal opportunities that the firm has been fostering internally and in the community at large.
In the application, Abreu Advogados submitted some of the initiatives they have been helping to promote, including Legal Up: Mental Health, the Happiness Hub, and their work with various Pro Bono institutions.
In a statement, Multilaw noted, “Abreu’s unwavering commitment to I&D is evident in all aspects, placing them in a prominent position within this category. Their outstanding achievements: A fundamental commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all voices are valued.”
Simultaneously with this awards presentation, which took place this Saturday in Munich, the end of Carmo Sousa Machado‘s term as Chair of Multilaw was also marked. After four years in the position, she is now succeeded by Jorge Mondragón of Gonzalez Calvillo. It should be noted that the Abreu Advogados partner had served as Chair of Multilaw since 2019, initially with a two-year term, and was reelected to the position twice consecutively for one-year periods.
