The Multilaw Real Estate Guide has just been updated, featuring insights from Abreu Advogados’ Real Estate team, coordinated by Patrícia Viana and Tiago Mendonça de Castro. The guide covers issues related to restrictions, obligations and tax duties, acquisitions, and investment in the country.
From now on, both Portuguese nationals and foreign citizens may acquire and occupy real estate in Portugal without any restrictions. This freedom also applies to foreign companies, which can purchase property and obtain financing for real estate transactions without limitations.
