Nuno Cunha Barnabé, Partner at Abreu Advogados, and António Vidal, Associate, are the authors of the Portugal chapter in the book “Beneficial Ownership Registers: The STEP Handbook For Advisers”. This handbook was edited by STEP, the world’s leading organisation for private wealth professionals.
The book provides an in-depth analysis of beneficial ownership registry legislation in a number of European Union jurisdictions as well as in the United Kingdom. It also looks at similar initiatives being tested in some of the leading international financial centres.
