Financial Times Europe Awards

The FT Innovative Lawyers Awards Europe celebrate the very best in innovation within European law firms and in-house legal teams. They recognise leaders in digital innovation, strategic advice, talent management, and positive change across the legal sector.

To validate the nominations, the Financial Times evaluates each submission based on three key criteria:

  • Legal-technical innovation: The solutions offered to clients, particularly those developed in unregulated or complex areas that demand pioneering and bespoke legal approaches.

  • Innovation in firm management: Strategies that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enable legal teams to manage complexity – including alignment with the firm’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments, as well as strategies related to employee relations.

  • Impact: The impact of legal-technical solutions on the client’s business and their potential influence on broader industry sectors. Consideration is also given to the relevance and significance of these solutions in major national, social, and economic projects.
