Abreu Advogados and its partners in Angola and Mozambique have once again received international recognition by being shortlisted for the IFLR Africa Awards 2026, which distinguish the firms and professionals who have stood out across the African continent for the innovation, complexity and impact of their work in the areas of financial and transactional law.
This year, Abreu Advogados has been nominated in the category Lusophone Africa International Law Firm, an award recognising the contribution of international firms with a consistent and relevant presence in Portuguese-speaking African countries.
In Mozambique, JLA Advogados has been shortlisted for National Law Firms of the Year – Mozambique, with partner Zara Jamal also in the spotlight, having been nominated for Lawyer of the Year – Mozambique, in recognition of her professional career and leadership in highly complex transactions.
FBL Advogados has also been shortlisted for National Law Firms of the Year – Angola, highlighting the consolidation of its presence and the work developed in the Angolan market. In the same context, Fernando Faria de Bastos and Paulette Lopes, partners at FBL Advogados, have been nominated for Lawyer of the Year – Angola, an award that recognises their individual contribution to the development of the legal sector in the country.
