Pedro Barosa comments on the latest developments in Operation Marquês on CNN Portugal’s programme “CNN Fim de Tarde”, namely the resignation of defence lawyer José Preto.
“My colleague decided to submit his resignation from the mandate. But that resignation has not taken effect,” says the Abreu Advogados criminal law specialist.
Regarding the trial, which has once again been postponed, Pedro Barosa notes that, on the one hand, there are rights that must be safeguarded, but on the other hand there is a court that will not remain idle waiting. “The trial will have to continue.”
