In an opinion article published in the Boletim da Ordem dos Advogados, the contracted partner at Abreu Advogados—who works primarily in the areas of Public Law and Environmental Law—explains that the law requires construction choices that are appropriate for seismic safety, although certain rules introduced after the original construction may be waived.
